When You look in a mirror, what do You see? This is a question that can be applied to a work of art - because it is a mirror of the observer. However, this question is rarely asked outside the privacy of someone's face-to-face conversation. Whether because of anxiety, shame or the idea that it is not appropriate, that You are not an expert or that You do not understand art, You do not allow yourself to have Your experience portrayed.
The Reflect/on project aims to free You from these limitations, so that You can stand in front of a work of art without hesitation and share Your opinion, experiences and impressions. You can do this publicly or anonymously, thanks to a system designed to collect Your reflections, and share them with the world. *
In the Gallery section, You can view the works on display in this digital exhibition space, and with one click select the work You want to tell us about, and then view the contributions of other visitors. We encourage You to speak from the heart, and to present to us Your honest opinion and subjective experience, whatever it may be.
Where's the catch? You will receive information about the work only after Your reflection (comment / text / phrase) is published on the website. In this way, we want to enable You to really speak based on Your subjective impression, regardless of the context in which the work was created or the topic it deals with.
So, You are in front of a mirror. What do You see?
The project is being implemented by students of undergraduate academic studies at the Department of Art History, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade.
* In order to preserve ethics and protect our users, all submitted contributions will go through a review. Your answers will not be altered or censored, but articles containing offensive and discriminatory content will not be published on the project page.
ArtScope
What is it and why is it here?
Artscope is a collaborative project,
which touches with the Reflect/on project in the world of visitor interaction with the work of art.
"ARTSCOPE is an ideal digital corner for all those who want to learn something about works of art and their authors in a fun way. A group of future art historians designed this site with the idea of bringing art history closer to each individual in a creative way.
Some of us like to spend our free time reading, some playing games, hanging out with friends, but each of us used to watch or even solve a quiz. So find out in a simple and tempting way which works of art have marked epochs, singled out artists and those who are more than artists, their beginnings of creation but also the directions through which they have matured. "
